EXW

Ex Works

The buyer has to bear all the costs and risks involved in taking the goods from the sellers Premises.

FAS

Free Alongside Ship

The seller delivers when the goods are placed alongside the vessel at the named port of shipment

FOB

Free On Board

The shipper pays all charges up to the port of exit.

CF

Carrriage Forward

Buyer / receiver pays all charges for shipping from sellers door

CIF

Cost, Insurance & Freight

The buyer pays for the carriage from the port of exit. However the Buyer contracts for insurance and pays the premium.

C&F

Carriage & Freight

The buyer pays for the carriage from the port of exit to their door.

CPT

Carriage Paid to

The seller delivers the goods to the carrier and also pays for the carriage in order to get the goods to it's paid destination 

CIP

Carriage & Insurance Paid to

The seller delivers the goods to the carrier and also pays for the carriage in order to get the goods to it's paid destination. The seller contracts for insurance and pays the premium

DAF

Delivered At Frontier

Term of sale signifying that the seller fulfills their obligations by delivering the goods at a specified point on the international border (not the customs border lying inside the national boundary) of the buyer's country.

DES

Delivered Ex Ship

This term requires the seller to deliver goods to a buyer at an agreed port of arrival. The seller remains responsible for the goods until they are delivered

DEQ

Delivered Ex Quay

The seller delivers when the goods are placed at the disposal of the buyer not cleared for import at the quay at the named port of destination.

DDU

Delivered Duty Unpaid

The seller delivers the goods to the buyer, however the buyer has to bear the costs of any 'duty' (e.g. taxes, VAT)

DDP

Delivered Duty Paid

The seller delivers the goods to the buyer, and all 'duty' for the relevant country has been paid for, by the seller.

EORI
Economic Operator Registration and Identification
 If you have been requested on of these, or what used to be called a 'TURN', contact us and we will provide this for you. Please note this is only required on shipments within the EU

EOD

End Of Day

Manifest document usually produced by way bill creating systems /computer/online. It is a report of shipments generated that day.

DTD

Door to Door

Either the seller, or the buyer is paying for the whole shipment from 'door to door'
